Why did you become involved with the FMBCF?
Being a local supporter is something I do and believe in. I am excited to be part of this organization that does so much for so many.

What Fundraisers/Service Projects have you been involved in, and in what capacity?
I have been a worker bee on a few projects.

What are your goals for the FMBCF for the upcoming year?
I am hoping to streamline membership and make it easier to join our organization to support our beach community. There are so many opportunities for us to give back and I think everyone can find a project they can get behind if volunteering is important to them.

The majority of my life was spent in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. After the kids all moved on and winter became unbearable, my husband, Tom, and I moved to Austin, Texas. Ultimately the beach called and we answered. And we are so happy to be living in Paradise!

The most successful thing I did was to have children. They are pretty fantastic and now I have 8 wonderful Grandjoys to prove it. Besides that, I had a long career as an Arts Administrator – Company Manager at the Guthrie Theater and then Program Director at the University of Minnesota where I collaborated with the Guthrie to create a BFA Actor Training Program.

Fun Fact
Our oldest daughter, I call her Global Girl, lives in Cape Town, South Africa with her pilot husband and 2 children. She leads her own company as an International Development and Graphic Design specialist.
