Keep Lee County Beautiful
The Pilot Club of Fort Myers Beach was part of Pilot International, founded in 1921 as a service organization, composed of business and professional women who shared a common trait: The desire to help people in need and to make the world a better place to live.
In 2010, after almost 25 years as the Pilot Club of Fort Myers Beach, the Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation (FMBCF) was formed. The new non-profit continued to draw on Pilot traditions of friendship and service to the community as the mission of the newly formed organization.
In our first 10 years, we have been involved in our community with Beach Elementary School. Monthly, our members work with kindergarten students on a Butterfly Garden project. We also support the school by providing opportunities for students at summer camps. We contribute to Renee’s Closet, who provides clothing, supplies and other items to students in need.
The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation awards several scholarships each year for post high school education, including an endowed scholarship at Florida SouthWestern State College. We support anyone interested in furthering their education whether at FSW or a trade school, certificate programs, GED, etc.
Through it all, the good times and the bad, we are helping to create a community
within a community on Fort Myers Beach.
We are honored to serve our Fort Myers Beach community:
The Hungry, The Homeless, The Poor, The Struggling Worker, and Those Wishing To Further Their Education.
You can help us in our mission by donating your time, resources and by shopping with us!
